  • 1 packet 2¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Garlic Butter Topping
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese optional

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.

  5. Place breadsticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  7. Brush half of the garlic butter mixture over the breadsticks.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven, brush with remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle with parmesan if using.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Avoid overbaking to keep breadsticks soft and fluffy
  • Brush garlic butter twice for maximum flavor
  • Parmesan adds a restaurant-style finish but is optional
  • Best served fresh; reheat in the oven for best texture
