Ingredients
  

Chicken:
  • 2 boneless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper
Teriyaki Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water
Salad:
  • 6 cups mixed greens
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cucumber sliced
  • 2 tablespoons green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Season and cook chicken over medium heat until fully cooked. Rest and slice.
  2. In a pan, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Simmer gently.
  3. Add cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
  4. Toss sliced chicken in the teriyaki sauce.
  5. In a large bowl, combine greens, cabbage, carrots, and cucumber.
  6. Add chicken on top.
  7. Sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Drizzle extra sauce or dressing and serve.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness based on preference
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce for better control
  • Add crunchy toppings for texture
