Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups romaine or iceberg lettuce finely chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes diced
  • ½ cup cucumber diced
  • ¼ cup red onion finely chopped
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and chopped
  • ½ cup blue cheese crumbles or sharp cheddar cubes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the lettuce, then chop it into small, even pieces and add to a large bowl.
  2. Dice the tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion into uniform pieces and add them to the bowl.
  3. Cook the bacon until crisp, let cool slightly, then chop and add to the salad along with the cheese.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  5. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well so every ingredient is evenly coated.
  6. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
