Ingredients
  

  • 2 large potatoes peeled and grated
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Grate potatoes and squeeze out excess moisture thoroughly.
  2. In a bowl, mix potatoes with egg, flour, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Scoop mixture into pan and flatten into pancakes.
  5. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

  • Drain potatoes extremely well
  • Fry in batches for best crispness
  • Serve immediately for best texture
