No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (plus 2 tbsp for chocolate topping)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Line an 8x8 or 9x9-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Mix peanut butter, melted butter, and powdered sugar in a bowl until smooth. Spread into the prepared pan.
  3. Melt chocolate chips and 2 tbsp peanut butter together in the microwave (20-second bursts, stirring each time) or over a double boiler.
  4. Spread chocolate over the peanut butter layer.
  5. Chill for at least 2 hours, until firm.
  6. Lift from the pan, slice, and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use crunchy peanut butter for more texture.
  • Add a layer of crushed pretzels under the chocolate for a salty crunch.
