Method
- In a large bowl, whisk together cream, milk, sugar, and peppermint extract until sugar is dissolved.
- Add green food coloring if desired and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In the last 2 minutes of churning, add the chocolate chips.
- Transfer to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- Scoop and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra minty flavor, steep fresh mint leaves in the milk before chilling (then strain).
- Chocolate chunks can be swapped for crushed Andes mints or dark chocolate for a twist.
- No ice cream maker? Use the no-churn method with whipped cream and condensed milk.
