Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon water optional, to thin sauce
  • Green onions or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and ginger if using.
  3. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
  5. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  6. Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet and gently toss the shrimp to coat.
  7. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  8. Remove from heat immediately to avoid overcooking.
  9. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds and serve warm.
