Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
For glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 –3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a sticky dough.
  4. Fry at 350°F for 2–3 minutes (or bake at 375°F for 10–12 minutes).
  5. Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth.
  6. Dip slightly cooled donut holes in glaze. Let set on rack.

Notes

Add espresso powder or chocolate chips for a flavor boost.
