Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz halloumi cheese block
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme optional
  • Flaky sea salt optional

Method
 

  1. Pat halloumi dry and cut into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Toss cubes lightly with cornstarch and shake off excess.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add halloumi in a single layer and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  5. Warm honey with red pepper flakes in a small saucepan for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Transfer crispy halloumi to a serving plate.
  7. Drizzle with hot honey and garnish with thyme and flaky salt.
  8. Serve immediately while warm.

  • Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if needed.
