Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 2 cups mushrooms sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta and reserve some pasta water.
  2. Cook mushrooms in butter until golden.
  3. Add garlic and cook briefly.
  4. Add cream and simmer.
  5. Stir in parmesan until smooth.
  6. Add pasta and toss to coat.
  7. Adjust consistency with pasta water and serve.

  • Cook mushrooms until golden for best flavor
  • Use fresh parmesan
  • Add pasta water to adjust sauce
