Ingredients
  

  • lb about 4–6 pieces chicken breasts or thighs
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¾ teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 –2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped (optional)

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Sear chicken in butter and olive oil until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add garlic to the pan and sauté briefly.
  4. Deglaze with chicken broth, then stir in cream and cream cheese.
  5. Return chicken to skillet and simmer until cooked through.
  6. Adjust seasoning and garnish before serving.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness
  • Sauce thickens as it cools
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for variation
