Baked Mozzarella Sticks

Crispy baked mozzarella sticks with a golden crust and melty cheese center. Easy oven recipe, freezer-friendly, and perfect for parties or snacks.

Ingredients
  

  • Mozzarella string cheese
  • All-purpose flour
  • Eggs
  • Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Set up breading bowls: flour, beaten eggs, seasoned breadcrumbs.
  3. Coat mozzarella in flour, egg, breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumbs.
  4. Place on tray and freeze 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Spray lightly with oil.
  6. Bake 8–10 minutes, flipping once, until golden.
  7. Rest briefly and serve warm.

Notes

  • Double breading prevents cheese leaks
  • Always bake from frozen
  • Works great in the air fryer too
